This piece comes from the Communities Set in my Life in the 30s and features the Sisseton, SD train station and surrounding grain elevators. Acrylic paints and authentic ephemera (receipts, ledgers, newspaper clippings from the late 1800s/early 1900s) are layered with a vintage image from the 1930s which lends an aesthetic quality and historical perspective to this piece of original art.
